We are thrilled to announce our newest offering to the community:
The 2024 Zenith Herbal Cohort Program will be led by Certified Herbalist Shay Koloff, owner of Zenith Moon Co.
Join us for a 8-week 50 hr hands on herbalist course where you will graduate with basic knowledge in how to use herbs and make your own home remedies. You will learn how to incorporate
herbal practices into your wellness routines and feel comfortable with a
beginning in learning your own holistic self-care path. To apply for the in-person program it is a $50 application fee, which goes towards holding your spot for the program’s available slots, should you not get into the current running cohort you have applied for. We strive to make this an intimate environment; classes will only hold 6 students for each cohort season. The
entire course is $1000, or $500 upon enrollment acceptance and remaining $500 due at week 4. (Applicants, not in person can enroll and purchase for
access to the 8 week recorded courses for a $400 fee.)
Course comes with 150 herb Materia Medica, 20 pages of Herbal Notes, Study Pages,
and during the course unlimited access to herbal books from over 10 authors.
Coursework will include the following material and education:
Class 1: Myths about herbalism and the real history behind the
workings. Safety in herbalism and how we learn to work with them
safely and carefully for our benefit.
Class 2: Where to source herbs, how to find herbs and test for best
herbs and potency, essential oils sourcing and what herbalism is all
about! Avoid common mistakes. Herbal parts and preparations, best ways to use herbs and
their levels of potency.
Class 3: Herbs in Action, terminology, constituents, taste profiles, and
how to craft formulas and the options for herbal delivery and the
recommended dosages based off usage.
Class 4: Identifying acute and chronic needs and herbal management routines.
Incorporating herbs into daily use, and when to seek beyond herbal
care. Anatomy, The Systems, and the Warning Signs.
Class 5: Herbal workings with salves, herbal sprays, and compresses.
Learning how to make these herbal preparations, and how to use
herbs for external work.
Class 6: Herbal workings with herbal drinks, herbal tonics, and smoke
blends. Learning how to identify, use and prepare herbs for ingestible
concoctions.
Class 7: Herbalism in medicine, and history cannabis and mushroom
medicine. Information about the benefits of both as holistic aids. Rules
and regulations with use in own your practices.
Class 8: Preparing for herbal work at home, formulating your first 20
herb apothecary, and courses you can take to further your education.

Our purpose of the Black Business Wellness Event is to offer starter business tools and nourishing environments for holistic and alternative black business owners. Our goal is to connect those without guidance in starting a business, some basic information on how to find their market, setting brand, preparing for website and social media building and management. The event will include Q&A, networking and sharing resources, encouraging others to share their cards, and socials to connect and hopefully find lasting bonds for those in complimentary fields.
